a) you enjoy eating food, looking at pictures of food, and reading about food
b) you got lost on your way to Pinterest
Either way, I have some great news: a new site has launched called Eat North. It was founded by Diana Ng, Dave Wilkinson and Dan Clapson, with the mantra "Why Food Matters to Canadians". The content is created by food writers from across the country (myself included) to take a fresh look at Canadian Food culture. And by 'Canadian Food Culture' I mean beyond maple syrup and poutine. Their press release says it best:
"Whether it’s Canadian-made sake out of Ontario, a well-crafted gin from a micro-distillery in Kelowna, or a new cooking web series, there’s a lot to be proud of in Canada when it comes to all things food. Although there are many online pockets featuring such topics, there is still not one destination for celebrating all that is Canada’s culinary scene, culture and trends."
You know you want to learn:
I think a lot of you (even the non-Canadians) will enjoy the funny and interesting content over there. So stop by next time you have an imporant deadline looming that can only be remedied by some serious time wastage online.
